Working in the Facilities Services section of the London Annex in Croughton, the general maintenance lead carries out scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, and repair work on all London Embassy Annex compounds located at RAF Croughton. The general maintenance manager will coordinate, manage and report on all maintenance activities required to maintain building infrastructure and property, such as but not limited to generators, chillers, compressors, fire pumps, boilers, and landscaping. The general maintenance lead will utilize their technical experience to survey, diagnosis, maintain and repair London Annex facilities infrastructure, and/or utilize contractors expertise if the nature of the work warrants it. This position will report to the London Embassy Annex Facilities Management Office.
Requirements:
- All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a non-sensitive security clearance.
- All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Education Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School is required and/or completion of vocational training from an accredited institute recognized as producing journeyman level technicians with a concentration in either HVAC, electrical, plumbing or diesel engine mechanic.

Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in facilities management, maintenance and operations, including oversight of contractors. Demonstrated performance in applicant’s specific professional vocation.
Language: Good working knowledge of English; speaking, reading & writing (this may be tested)
Job Knowledge: Applicant shall have practical understanding of facilities management, which includes HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and other associated skills required for operations and maintenance of a building.
